Other than acting, David's main concern is as an organiser of the 24:7 Theatre Festival.

24:7 is held annually in Manchester towards the end of July. New plays, numerous performances, hundreds of creatives working together, thousands of audience members... The 24:7 website will tell you all you need to know.

The picture shows David alongside co-director Amanda Hennessy after receiving the Alpha Award, together with a cheque for £5,000, at the Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards in 2004. The festival or its participating artists have now won six awards in five years.
